Terms of Service (Version 1)

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]

1. Acceptance

By using SwimSetu you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

Registrants must provide accurate information. Administrators are appointed by MAA only.

3. Registration

Submission does not guarantee approval.

3.1 Review

Athlete and coach applications are reviewed first by the district administrator (where a currently valid district body exists) and then by the state (Maharashtra) administrator. District administrators are appointed by the state administrator. They do not submit a registration form.

3.2 One application per person (athletes and coaches)

An applicant (matched by contact email or account) may hold at most one active athlete application and one active coach application. Rejected or fully expired applications do not count as active; you may then start a new application of that type.

3.3 Tracking reference and MAA ID

On submission you receive a temporary tracking reference (for example APP-…) to follow your application. An official MAA ID (MAA-…) is issued only after final approval for athletes and coaches (district and state, where applicable). A district license MAA ID is issued when the state administrator appoints the district administrator. Until approval, a temporary reference is not an official MAA ID and is not publicly verifiable as one.

3.4 Fees

The registration fee is payable at submission. Fees are non-refundable if the application is rejected at district or state review. A rejected applicant must start a new application and pay the fee again.

Unpaid incomplete applications expire after 12 hours and must be started again.

4. Validity and renewal of MAA IDs

An approved MAA ID is valid for one year from the date of final approval.

  • You may renew from 7 days before expiry through 7 days after expiry (the grace period).
  • A successful renewal keeps the same MAA ID after re-approval.
  • If you do not renew within that grace week, the ID is revoked. You lose that ID and must follow the same process as a new applicant (new application, fee, and a new MAA ID if approved).

5. User obligations

You must provide accurate data, upload lawful documents (PDF or JPG only), and not misuse the platform.

6. Admin decisions

For athlete and coach registrations, district and state administrators may approve or reject only (no request for changes). District licenses are issued and renewed by the state administrator. Decisions are subject to MAA rules.

7. Intellectual property

MAA owns platform content. Users retain ownership of uploaded documents but grant MAA a license to store and review them for registration purposes.

8. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided as-is for sporting administration. MAA is not liable for indirect damages to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

MAA may suspend accounts for violation of these terms or falsified registrations. MAA may revoke an MAA ID that is not renewed within the grace period described above, or for other breaches of these Terms or MAA rules.

10. Governing law

Laws of India. Courts at [Maharashtra jurisdiction].

11. Residency and address changes

Approved athletes and coaches may update only their address and passport photo. Submitted changes stay pending for six months. During that period the live profile, credential, and event eligibility continue to use the previous address, photo, and district. If the new address is in a different district, the registrant must acknowledge that they will not compete from the new district until the pending change takes effect.

12. Changes

Terms may be updated with notice via the platform. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
